Monthly matches are held the 4th Sunday of every month with a few exceptions:

May 16, 2010 – due to the State Championship Shoot in Sparta, Illinois
Dec. 19, 2010 – due to Christmas

Long Range Matches

A long range side match will be shot at all outdoor matches.
Start time – 8 am / Stop time – 9:30 am(It is shot during normal registration times. Anyone is welcome to shoot the side matches after registering for the Main Match.  There is no extra charge.]

There will be a Wild Bunch Match in April, July & October shoots in 2010 as part of the Main Match. For more information on the Wild Bunch category, please refer to the SASS™ Wild Bunch Handbook

New Shooters are Welcome

Whether you’re new to Cowboy Action Shooting [CAS] or to the Long Nine, we invite you to shoot with us.   If you’ve never shot a match with us before, your first match is FREE.  Spectators are also welcome.

New Shooter’s Meeting – 9:30 am

Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting for Everyone – 9:45 am
(You don’t get to shoot if you miss the shooter’s meeting!). 

We follow SASS™ guidelines.  For more information please refer to the SASS™ 2009 Shooter’s Handbook.  Matches start immediately after shooter’s meeting.

Lunch & Beverages

For outdoor matches, we shoot three stages, take a break for lunch, then shoot two
or three more stages.

Lunch is available for $5 per person, prepared by the Lefthander’s Gun Club at the Club House.

Cold beverages are available for 50¢ at the Club House.

End-of-Match Scores

Following the match,  print-outs of scores will be available at the Club House.   The
Long Nine Cowboys appreciate your help taking down the stages after the match while final scores are being calculated.

Match results are usually available following the match and on this website on the following day.
