We had 33 shooters for our Leap Year match on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, including one brand new cowboy shooter, The Rossiman, who shot his first clean stage and got the rifle bonus on the last stage.
We also welcomed two guests from south of the Quad Cities, Cowboy Carty and R.J. Rust.

We had only 6 clean shooters this time!
After the match, a group of shooters hustled over to the home of Lemon Drop Kid and The Blonde, who graciously hosted the ROI Class, taught by SASS Regulator Boben Weev and ROII Bushy Cap.
Eight shooters earned their ROI pins on Sunday.
Congratulations to:
- Billy the Avenger
- Buckshot
- Cowboy Carty
- JD Oak
- Miss Caroline
- RJ Rust
- The Trainman
- Turquoise Tony [who re-took the test, even though he’s an ROII of long standing].
Errol Plain and Lady Viper audited the class as a refresher.
Thanks to our hosts for their hospitality and to our instructors for their time and expertise.
A big thanks to EVERYONE who helped set up and tear down the stages on Sunday and to our President Brisco Big’n and Match Director Don Jorge for taking the targets, stands, blankets and tables to the outdoor range storage area in Loami.
We move outdoors in March. If you have ideas or suggestions for outdoor stages or side matches, please contact us as the board and club organizers will planning our outdoor season in the next couple of weeks.
