We’re looking forward to our June match on Sunday, June 26, 2011, and hope you can join us. There appears to be no more need for the small boat as the water has gone down and the range is usable.
Range Update – Friday, June 24, 2011
Our Match Director, Don Jorge, has determined that we WILL be holding our match on Sunday, June 26, 2011.
NOTE!!! The bridge is temporarily out on Rhea Park Road [the one that goes south to the range from West Loami Road]. It’s a bit of an IQ test to see if you can find the range…
Coming west out of Loami, continue west past Rhea Park Road, to the next road, which is Staley Road. Turn left [south] on Staley Road. Take another left [going back east] on Maxwell Road which will land you about 10 feet from the entrance to the Lefthander’s.
Alternatively, from “downtown” Loami, go south on Main St. (which becomes John’s Creek Rd further south) until Sulphur Springs Rd. Turn right [west]onto Sulphur Springs Rd and go to Rhea Park Rd. Turn right [north] onto Rhea Park Rd and the lane to LeftHander’s is just ahead. See the Lefthanders web site for a Map.
The lower range at the Lefthanders Gun Club was flooded, owing to over 8″ of rain in one storm on top of saturated ground.
As usual, we’re ridiculously optimistic that we’ll get to shoot, so we have stages prepared and posted for your enjoyment, including not one but two chances at bonus targets.
Please check back on this web site on Saturday, June 25, 2011, to make sure that we’re shooting on Sunday or sign up for E-mail notices [at right] if you’re not already on our E-mail list. We might be able to shoot “up top” on a different range.
View flooded photos of the lower range on June 18, 2011, farther on in this article.
We’ll be shooting 5 stages on 3 bays and you’ll only need to move your gun cart twice! Lunch will be available as usual for $5 at the club house.
June Stages are posted [These will be used at a future match if we do not shoot in June]
