The Long Nine Cowboys are conducting a SASS™ Range Operations Basic Safety Course [Level I] on
Sunday, February 28, 2010
1:00 – 5:00 p.m.,
Bullet Express in Springfield, Illinois
Cost of the class is $10
The course is taught by Boben Weev and Bushy Cap.
The course involves 4 hours of class time and a test on the material. We invite you to take the course strictly to learn more about range safety — you’re not required to take a test unless you want to earn the R.O pin.
Passing the R.O. I course is the first step in becoming eligible to serve as a Range Officer at SASS® club matches.
The course follows the Febuary indoor match which ends at noon on the same day. Participants can grab a bite to eat, then head back to the teaching room at the range. The course only requires a pen or pencil [NO firearms and NO computer will be necessary].
Anyone interested in learning range safety for CAS [cowboy action shooting] is welcome to attend. Class size is limited to 15 participants.
Please RSVP by contacting the Long Nine webmaster or Boben Weev.
Print out the SASS R.O. I Handbook for more information before the course. It will be used as the course guide.
