We’re looking forward to our first non-rainy outdoor match of 2010 on Sunday, June 27th and we hope you can join us.
Wear COOL comfortable clothes [the costume police will NOT be present], as it’s supposed to be a bit on the hot side on Sunday.
REMINDER: If you registered & paid to shoot in May but left before the rainy match began [and you didn’t get a refund], you can shoot with us FREE this month. Remind us at registration.
Registration is 8:15 am to 9:30 am
Side Matches run from 8:15 – 9:30 a.m.
New Shooter’s Meeting starts at 9:30 am
[Please let us know at registration if you are a new shooter]
Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting starts at 9:45 am
Match begins at 10 am
Cost is $10 for Members, $12 for Non-members [You can become a Long Nine member at the match].
June Stages are posted for your enjoyment.
If you can help set up for the shoot at the Lefthander’s Gun Club in Loami, it’s happening on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. If you’re a member of Lefthander’s Gun Club, set-up hours for the Long Nine matches count toward membership work hours.
We’ll shoot 5 stages total. Bring extra ammo if you shoot side matches.
Lunch is available for $5 at the Club House.
We’ll break for lunch after 3 stages as usual.
Our Match Director this month is Don Jorge.
If you’ve forgotten to renew your membership for 2010, we have a deal for you. Come to the June match for a discounted renewal rate as a special treat.
It’ll save you $2 per match in entry fees per person, plus it makes you eligible for fabulous awards at the Annual Banquet.
Range is Wet – June 24, 2010
According to Brisco Big’n our club president, the shooting range is wet, but not flooded. Plan to park in the lot by the long range area, as we won’t have access to the lower grassy area as it’s too soft for vehicles.
As of this writing, Marshal J.D. Oak plans to hold long-range rifle side matches before our regular Main Match from 8:10 – 9:30 a.m.
For those of you who like a circus challenge before the Main Match [and if range conditions permit], we’ll either have a particularly evil reactive target, “El Conquistador” brought and set up by Chisholm Cheeks, OR Turquoise Tony’s Evil Flyers with his famous ’97 Shotgun Challenge. Either way, it’s sure to be a blast…so bring extra ammo.
Below is a link to a video of the example target from which Chisolm Cheeks built “El Conquistador” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8fc3ncgZSw
