We ARE shooting on Memorial Day Weekend!
Join us in May for our cowboy match this month. We hope you can come to Loami [Springfield] on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
We’ll be shooting 6 stages this month, but three of them are quite short and easy and one of them includes a bonus.
The first stage is the beloved Postman Always Rings Twice stage in remembrance of Postman SASS# 10622, who was a founder of the Long Nine Cowboys and influenced and helped out numerous cowboy action shooters before cancer took his life. Memorial Day Weekend marks three years since we honored him with a Cowboy Shotgun Salute at the Lefthanders Range where there are cherry trees planted in his honor.
There is NO LUNCH SERVED, so be sure to BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH or SNACK. Will take a vote as to whether we’ll take a break after 3 stages or shoot through.

Hope you can join us
If you’ve never shot at a match with us before, your first Main Match is FREE, so please join us!
Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting starts at 9:15 am
You must be on time and attend the Shooter’s Meeting in order to shoot the match.
Match begins at 10:00 am
Cost is $10 for Members, $12 for Non-members [You can become a Long Nine member at the match].
If you haven’t shot for awhile, you may want to review the SASS Shooter’s Handbook for current rules.
Also, please tell us ahead of time if you have SPECIAL NEEDS or wish to be on a PARTICULAR POSSE with specific people.
Due to safety concerns and issues that we had during the winter, the Board has made a policy that if you have two instances of squib loads or guns that will not feed properly during any given match, you’ll be asked NOT to shoot those loads and those guns for the remainder of the match. [Other shooters may loan you guns with their working ammo if they choose].
NOTE: If you are a shooter who is new to cowboy action shooting, please TELL US AT REGISTRATION. We like to help our new[er] shooters and pair them up with one of our club members to help them have a good time and navigate the match.
We’ll shoot 6 stages total.
Our Match Directors this month are Lady Viper, Turquoise Tony and Marshal J.D. Oak
